About the IEEE Cancer and Immuno-Engineering Initiative
A Global Initiative to Accelerate Cancer Innovation and Curative Therapies
The IEEE Cancer and Immuno-Engineering Initiative (CIE) is a global, interdisciplinary effort to accelerate transformative advances in cancer diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and ultimately cure through the convergence of engineering, artificial intelligence (AI), immunology, cancer biology, and clinical medicine. Guided by the principle that engineering must move from supporting oncology to transforming it, CIE aims to build a sustainable international community connecting leading cancer institutes, universities, clinicians, engineers, pharmaceutical and biotechnology leaders, technology innovators, patients, and the general public.
The initiative focuses on AI-driven precision oncology, next-generation immunotherapies, tumor microenvironment engineering, and advanced therapeutics. Its mission extends beyond scientific discovery to accelerating clinical translation, strengthening global partnerships, developing future leaders, and generating measurable benefits for patients and society.
Our goal is to accelerate the development of curative cancer therapies within our lifetime.
Where Engineering Meets Immunity.
Where Innovation Meets Urgency.
